Effectiveness of Training Workshop on ICD-10 Cancer Coding Guidelines for Clinical Coders

Background: The accurate retrieval of cancer data in health information systems depends on the correct coding and classification data. Thus, it is essential to provide continuous training for clinical coders ensure effectiveness this achieve high-quality Objectives: present study aimed at evaluating workshop ICD-10 guidelines coders. Methods: was performed evaluate regarding second chapter (2016 ed.). Forty-five have participated study. A researcher-made questionnaire provided gathering, with scoring system Likert (0 5 points) reaction level, by pre-and post-test questionnaires learning level. descriptive statistics were applied level paired sample t-test Results: results revealed that learners had 84.4% average satisfaction courses paired-samples test indicated that, a significant difference (P = 0.000) existed between mean scores. Conclusions: Based Kirkpatrick’s model, program resulted improved skills coding. It recommended managers hold effective enhance coders’ knowledge skills.
